2017 Chess Tournament

St. Anselm's students spent several afternoons this winter competing in an intra-school chess tournament.

Winner: Abraham Mekonnen (Form V), undefeated through six rounds

Second place: Stephen De Carlo (Form II), with just one loss

Honorable mention, with two losses: Noah Fuller (Form VI), Nolan Lee (Form II), Nicholas De Carlo (Form II), Will Lawrence (Form V), Rémy Slimp (Form V)

The winner has his name inscribed on the Tournament Cup for the year 2017.

Club Details

Improve your understanding of chess by playing against other students on your level, or learn how to play the game if you are new. Students can play for fun or train with other students to take part in competitions, both as individuals and as a team.

Meeting Time

Every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during 10th Period (3:00-3:30) in the Library
