Admissions

Welcome

The Abbey is a special place, one where bright and motivated boys are both nurtured and challenged as they grow to become exceptional men. Our beautiful 40-acre campus is an oasis in the nation’s capital, a contemplative setting where our 250 students can grow spiritually and intellectually. The Benedictine monks of St. Anselm’s Abbey, who have overseen the school since its founding in 1942, serve as beacons of faith and stability to our young men in an ever-changing world. Our rigorous academic program is first-rate, providing a classical liberal arts foundation that prepares students for the variety of challenges they will meet in college and beyond. Our students are balanced and well-rounded, and they take advantage of a wide range of academic, athletic, artistic and leadership opportunities as they get to know themselves and the world around them.

Our office is honored to work closely with your family throughout the admission process. We invite to join us on campus during an open house or tour to deepen your understanding of the mission and culture of the Abbey community. Should you have questions about any aspect of the application process, please do not hesitate to contact us at 202-269-2379 or admissions@saintanselms.org. See you at the Abbey!

Connor Paletta, Class of 2025

The Abbey has helped me grow through the community. Because of the small class sizes everyone got along quickly and that helped us work through projects together. If it wasn't for my classmates, I would not have adjusted as quickly as I did. Sports and other activities gave me more time to get to know the other students.
