Getting to the Abbey
Navigating Washington, D.C. traffic shouldn't be a barrier to an exceptional education. We make getting to campus as safe, easy, and convenient as possible for our families. Whether you are commuting from Maryland, Northern Virginia, or right here in the District, we offer dedicated morning shuttles, a direct Metro connection, and robust carpooling networks.
Morning Commuter Shuttles
We partner with Fleet Transportation to offer dedicated morning shuttles from key neighborhoods in Maryland and Virginia. (Note: Routes and times are approximate based on traffic and are contingent upon sufficient annual interest).
From Bethesda and Upper Northwest Washington ($1,400 / year morning only)
• The Church of the Little Flower parking lot 7:00 am
• Friendship Heights (4451 Jenifer St NW, Washington, DC 20015) 7:10 am
• Glover Rd NW parking lot (By the Rock Creek Park Nature Center) 7:20 am
From McLean/Arlington in Northern Virginia ($1,700 / year)
From Alexandria in Northern Virginia ($1,700 / year)
• Belle View Shopping Ctr, 1632 Belle View Blvd, Alexandria (In front of Safeway) 6:35 am
• Bradlee Shopping Ctr, King St & W Braddock Rd, Alexandria (Next to McDonalds) 6:55 am
To Register and Pay for the Shuttles, log into the Portal and go to the Resources drop-down. Click on the Transportation Resource Board.

The Fort Totten Metro Shuttle
For students taking the Metro, the Abbey runs a private, school-owned shuttle directly to and from the Fort Totten Metro Station.

Morning Metro Shuttle: Runs continuously from 7:15 am to 7:50 am.

Cost: $175 / year. (Occasional riders can purchase a 5-ride pass for $10 in the Main Office). To Register and pay for the Shuttles, log into the Portal and go to the Resources drop-down. Click on the Transportation Resource Board.

Afternoon Metro Shuttle: Departs campus at 3:30 pm (from the Academic Building), 5:00 pm (from the Gym), and 6:00 pm (from the Gym) to accommodate sports and clubs.

Cost: Free! There is no need to pre-register for the afternoon shuttle.
